Our state photographer, Rich Johnson, is always taking
photographs of different events around Nevada. We add those
photographs to the web in several different formats. Some
formats like slide shows and video stories are not
downloadable, however, other formats are.
If the photographs you want are in a downloadable format,
please feel free to download or print them. If you want a
photo that is in a slide show or a video story, you need to
contact us.
We will be happy to email you that photo (jpg) so you can
print it. We do not print and send the photographs by mail.
You can also print a photo directly from the web site
instead of downloading the photo, then printing it.
Difference between printing directly from the photograph
or downloading the photograph and printing:
1) When you print the photograph directly from the web,
it prints a smaller version of the photograph. The
resolution, however, is usually clearer.
2) When you download the photograph to your hard drive, then
print it, the photographs will download a 600 pixel
photograph (width). This larger size allows you to import
the photograph into an editor where you can edit the
photograph and even make the photograph larger without
losing too much resolution. The resolution, however, is not
as clear as if you printed it directly from the web because
it is a larger photograph.
